Wanna Try Falsies?

Hello Beauties!!! So of course I am always looking for great pricing on everything from skincare, haircare, and makeup. This also includes all those little small things like FALSIES! (Not on your chest, your lashes silly). Recently, I got a great deal by www.kgbdeals.com . For $15 I received a coupon for $30 worth of lashes at De-Beauty . I was super excited about this deal and of course I bought more than one coupon! When I looked at the De-Beauty, I found that they have a pretty good selection on different lashes as well as an affordable price. Another great thing that I loved about the company is that I received my product within three days of payment! They have great speedy service, and what I saw online is exactly what I got! Something else I give kudos for, when I emailed them with a question, they emailed me back within 24 hours! (I love great customer service!)

I have long lashes naturally, but I do love to add a little extra umph to my look sometimes by putting lashes on from time to time. Lashes can range from individuals, singles, and strip lash. They can be extremely thick, medium, or thin. Very long, medium, or short. Then you even have a variety within each category. Do want them to look obviously False or do you want more of that natural looking lash where people have to wonder if they are yours or not. It all depends on what YOU want, and might I add, what looks good on you as well. Sometimes you think you want something and then you see it on yourself and you say, "What was I thinking???" If you have never worn lashes before, don't be scared! They are easy to put on and just as easy to take off. You can get them done in salons or you can do them yourself at home. Now, I can't give you any advice on the salon experience and that is because I have never had them done by someone before, I have always done them myself.

Want to try them out, find some cheap ones that you can play around with! A great lash adhesive to use as a beginner (or even in your pro makeup kit) is actually by Revlon! Try out Revlon Precision Lash Adhesive !!! It comes with a tiny brush, the adhesive is blue when you put it on, then it dries clear. This is one of my favorite adhesives to use. Of course there are plenty of other ones to use as well, but I favor this one :).

I DARE my followers to try out false lashes, even if you have them applied by someone else! Are you up to the challenge? Do you think you can handle it? I have faith in you lovely ladies. Let's make this interesting, enter the "Lash Challenge" with awesome eye makeup included and I will choose the person to win a FREE $30 makeup giveaway!!! Can't beat that! Come on ladies, step out of your comfort zone and shake things up. Post your comments and pictures below so I can start the judging. If you are unable to put the picture up, email it to inher.beauty1@gmail.com and I will add it for you. Happy blinking! hehe

Stinky Itchy Scalp Be Gone!

Hey ladies...and gents! So as I was talking to one of my sisters tonight I was complaining that my scalp was itching. Yes, something so simple and small but honestly it's not that simple and small to some people. There are some that have issues with very bad dandruff and an itchy scalp and no matter what they try...they can't make it GO AWAY! Well here is something I learned about a few years ago...LISTERINE! Yea, you got it! That liquid stuff you swish in your mouth to make that funk smell go away, it helps in getting rid of dandruff problems. The Listerine will actually kill "bottle bacillus" which is the common cause of the infectious dandruff. When using Listerine, make sure that it is mixed with water and massage it onto your scalp. Not only will you have "Fresh" hair (ha,ha) but you will have a nice, cool, tingling sensation on your scalp! As I say about everything I write on, always use with precaution!

If you are questioning this, feel free to do a little research (as I did)! Oooo and one interesting fact, in 1953, Cosmopolitan did an article on using Listerine to cure dandruff problems... how cool is that?!?!

Happy washing ....and while you're at, throw a lil in the mouth too!

Under-eye Concealer!

I know it's been forever since I have had a chance to post, but that is because recently I had a few changes in my life that interrupted my normal schedule. But guess what, I'M BACKKKKK!!!! (in the words of T.I)

While I was gone, I see some of you had the opportunity to read "Bye Bye Puffy Bags!" which is awesome and a few of you even wrote a review which I LOVE! But "Momma" had a question for me. What do you use once you get rid of those bags and you want to use a concealer?

I have a few concealers that I actually use and for me that just depends on what look I am going for that day, the weather, if I want a glow, etc etc. For my normal routine and daily makeup use I use Bronze 1 Concealer by Mary Kay. I have been using this concealer for YEARS and I love it. It's basic, cheap, but awesome. Next, on days that I want to add a little glow to my skin and want to look AWAKE I use Maquicomplet Concealer by Lancome. This concealer is creamy, won't crease on you, goes on smooth and won't dry you out. It comes with a wand that makes application easier. I used this concealer when doing my sister's makeup for her wedding and it looks great in photos. Another concealer that I use is also by Lancome and it is called Effacernes Waterproof Concealer which is great during the summer if you are worrying about your makeup bleeding from sweat.

My suggestion for anyone when looking for a perfect concealer is to try it out in the store. One concealer under one eye and the other on the other eye. Walk around the mall and do the rest of your shopping while both concealers settle. After you are done, go back to the store and compare in the mirror. How does it feel? Did it crease around your eye? Did it go on smooth? Did it fade? Did it leave a blue tint under your eye? Is the coloring right? Did it react with your skin? Which of these did you enjoy most? Last but not least, TAKE A PICTURE! Did the concealer look decent in a picture?

I hope you find the perfect concealer for you! If you have a concealer YOU love, share it with us. Stay Beautiful! *muah*

Gift MEEEEE- Lancome

Alright, so Lancome is having a free gift with purchase at Belk...and of course I decided to support.  (I even got my mom to get something too!!!) Let me tell ya what I got *smiley face*.

I bought my awesome Dual-Finish powder. ($35.50) This powder is great because you can use it WET or DRY. I find that so convenient because if you are at work all day and need to touch up your foundation, just wet the sponge a little and BAM you're refreshed. It dries almost instantly so then you can go back over your face with the dry powder to set it. These powders have a great smell to them but are also available "Fragrance-Free". I have been using Lancome's Dual Finish powder since 2008 and it is definitely on the top of my list as one of the best powder's that I have used.

I also stocked up on my moisturizer, Primordiale-Skin Recharge 1.7 oz with the pump. I love this moisturizer because it has an SPF 15, has a great smell, makes my skin feel great, and I notice a big difference when I use it. This is for normal/combination skin. Once you hit your twenties your skin cellular reproduction begins to slow down and that can result in fine lines/wrinkles, roughness or an uneven skin tone. This moisturizer is perfect for women in their twenties and early thirties because its going to help slow the beginning stages of aging down. It is labeled as a "skin recharge" because of the ingredient Biotin which will help in the revitalization of your skin cells. Within a week of using you'll notice less visible pores and your skin will appear more radiant.

(All Lancome products are non-comedogenic.)

Now, what did I get for FREEEEEE!!!!??? The link is posted below so you can actually see for yourself. I recommend this gift for anyone looking for a little color in their life, new goodies, and a new makeup bag.

Lancome Glamour Gift

If you purchase anything for the gift, please feel free to comment below and let everyone know what you got! Happy shopping ladies *muah*.

Bye Bye Puffy Bags!

Hey ladies! I am always watching out for those great home remedies to help give us a quick fix for beauty emergencies that we have or problems that we want to get rid of. So today I am covering those unwanted bags, puffiness, and dark circles under the eye.

Here it is... 'Preparation H'!!! I am sure some of you have heard of using this before but for those who haven't I decided to give you this little tip.  Preparation H (yes, for hemorrhoids) is great to use when you are having problems with bags under your eyes and puffiness, but through my research I found that it helps with fine lines and wrinkles as well! Some dermotologist have reported that the ingredient Bio-dyne in PH is what will actually help constrict the capillaries and reduce the puffy-puff. A lot of  celebrities, makeup artists, and models swear by using this under their eyes to help get a quick fix! I do warn to use with caution of course because like I say about everything else you never know how something will react to your skin and be careful not to get it into your eyes.

Don't want to use PH? Here are a few other tricks to try out as well.
- Sleep! Getting plenty of rest will do wonders for your skin, your health, and helping reduce under eye problems.

-Relax! I know everyone has stress in their life because it is only natural but trying to relax and getting rid of your stress will do wonders just as sleep does.

-Water! Drink plenty of water and fluids to keep your body hydrated.

-Salt... cut down on your salt intake because salt can help in the dehydration of the body which can be the cause of your under eye problems.

-Cool-it! Example: cold spoon, ice cube in a wash cloth, ice pack, cold cucumber, strips of potatoes, or strawberries are all great to use because they will help reduce the swelling.

I hope that you learned something interesting from this post, if you have any tips, tricks, comments or questions just post at the bottom and I hope you enjoy! *muah*

Kissable Lips!

Hey ladies! So I know everyone loves to have great lips! No man wants to see a beautiful face with "crusty" lips! #JustSayin. So here are a few tips for a healthier, smoother, prettier pout!

FIRST stop licking your lips constantly. I understand that it becomes habit if you think your lips are dry so you lick them, but really that just makes them dryer. Get a lip balm. MOISTURE! MOISTURE! MOISTURE! This could range from the Coco Butter balm to Vaseline or ChapStick. Whatever is going to work best for you. When choosing a lip balm, look for one that has SPF in it because you want to protect your lips from the sun just as you protect the rest of your body. Once a week I do like to do a lip scrub for my lips because that will help get rid of any dead skin on my lips and give me a smoother palette to work with.

Secondly, always remember to drink plenty of water. Keeping your body hydrated will always work with keeping prettier lips as well as prettier skin.

Next, whenever you want to do a lip gloss/lip stick make sure you choose one that is going to help add moisture to your lips and not dry them out. Also, as mentioned in an older post, try using a lip primer underneath.

Last but not LEAST!....put those new kissable lips to the test!

Hope you enjoy and smooches beautiful!!!!

Keeping Your Skin Alive... (part 1)

Hey Ladies! So I am sure you always hear of women talk about facial scrubs, masks, etc. Or you have been to makeup counters where they try to get you to buy one to add to your skin care regimen. How many of you actually buy them? Not many, I know! But honestly, exfoliating your skin really should become a part of your beauty regimen...even if it is only ONCE a week! Come on, you mean to tell me on Sunday night you can't rejuvenate your face for the week and get rid of all that liquor and smoked stain skin you acquired while out partying Saturday night?!?!? (We have ALL been there, don't be ashamed now!)

Benefits of exfoliating: cleanses the skin, gets rid of dead skin (this will help if you have acne scars), unclogs pores which will help in the prevention of acne, leaves your skin smooth and soft, and will rejuvenate your skin and give you a great glow.  Dermatologists and other skin care professionals will also tell you the importance of exfoliating your skin if you don't believe me.  Also, please please please do not use a body scrub for your face!

Now remember, when going out to find the perfect scrub for you, consider what type of skin type you have. Think about it, are you OILY, DRY, COMBINATION, or do you have over all SENSITIVE skin???? ( I will do a mini post on how to figure out which one you are.)
Secondly, what is your budget? You don't have to buy one that is from a department store to get great results if it is not within your budget. Things can be costly but it doesn't mean that you can't still get "wine" results on a "beer" budget. Look in your kitchen pantry or refrigerator. You will be surprised at what you have in your home that you can use for this. Ever heard of Sugar scrubs? You can even use milk! Using milk will add enzymes to your skin and leave your skin extra soft and smooth. (Not suggested if you are allergic to milk or lactose intolerant.) Some people even use baking soda to exfoliate.
Next, how often are you planning on using this scrub? Do you want a daily scrub or one that is for once a week usage? Generally with scrubs that are only meant for once a week use, they are going to be a lot stronger so stay away from those if you have really sensitive skin. Go for one that says "daily" use (even though that doesn't necessarily mean you use it daily) because it is going to be more gentle for your skin.

Now if you don't want to buy a facial scrub, maybe invest in a facial brush! This is definitely a good replacement. With a facial scrub you can just wet your face, put your facial cleanser on the brush, then go over your face with the brush, rinse, pat dry, and you're good to go! Don't want to buy a brush? Then do the same technique with a good facial wash cloth. Word to the wise, don't use the same wash cloth that you use to wash the rest of your body with...really? Think about all the germs that you are putting from the rest of your body onto your face and what type of bacteria that can be left on your face from this wash cloth. Remember, your skin is more sensitive than the rest of your body.

So bury that dead skin and say hello to the new rejuvenated you.... Happy Scrubbing!!! *muah*

Head-n-Shoulders Anyone?!?!?!

Ok, so I am sure you are definitely wondering....what the "flipped up pancake" is she talking about now? Head and shoulders? What does this have to do with your beauty regime besides getting rid of those unsightly flakes floating around on your scalp? Well I have an interesting piece of information for you LADIES and GENTS!

...You ready?...

Alright, so according to dermatologists (skin-doctors), if you are suffering from dermatological problems such as rosacea, eczema, or any inflamed/itchy/scaly skin you can use Head and Shoulders dandruff shampoo on those areas. So obviously, this is something that I have tested to see if it was actually beneficial, and YES it works. I also know of someone else who has tried it and it worked wonders for them as well. While going further into research, I found that this simple shampoo can also help reduce acne as well.  Who knew?

So go ahead and buy yourself a little travel size container of Head and Shoulders dandruff shampoo to add to your kit of cosmetic products! You can wash your face with it and even other parts of your body that you may have problems with. CAUTION:... I do suggest that you try it in a small area first just to make sure you aren't allergic to it or anything (everyone's skin is different). This honestly brings a whole new meaning to "Head" and "Shoulders" for me....

....Happy Washing!!!! *muah*

Primers!!!

So it seems that whenever I do makeovers, women always ask me "why do you use a primer?". Well, there are definitely a few different reasons why I use them and why I suggest them. Of course there are different types of primers for different things. You have your lip primer, eye primer, and even foundation primer.

Lip Primer
Lip primers are great to use especially when wearing lipsticks. Lip primers are going to help keep your lips moisturized (if using the right kind) as well as keeping your lipstick, lipgloss, or lipstain on your lips. I call lip primers the foundation for your lip color while giving you a true color, a smoother finish, it will fill in the lines on your lips and some will even plump your lips. When looking for a great primer, ask yourself what do you want out of your primer. Compare them and see which one will best fit your needs. Below are a list of some primers that you can try out...

Urban Decay Lip Primer Potion                         Stila One Step PrimeColor
Too Faced Lip Insurance Lip Primer                  Benefit Cosmetics
e.l.f. Studio Lip Primer and Plumper                   Lip Fusion XL Lip Primer
Guerlain Kiss Kiss Liplift

Eye Primer
Eye primers are basically the same concept with your lip primer honestly. Eye primers are going to make your eyeshadows more vibrant in color, stay on longer, help elevate creases in your shadow, and give you a smoother finish!

Urban Decay Primer Potion                               Urban Decay original Eyeshadow Primer
Too Faced Shadow Insurace                             NYX eyeshadow base
Guerlain Ombre Eclat Eyeshadow Primer           LORAC Behind the Scenes Primer
Stila One Step PrimeColor                                 Stila Prime Pot
Benefit Cosmetics Stay Don't Stray

Foundation Primer
Your foundation primer is also going to do a number of things for your skin depending on the brand. They are great for giving you a flawless effect to your foundation, help even your skin tone, give a smooth finish, help the color stay on your face, reduce oil build up, fill in lines and wrinkles, help conceal pores, cover discoloration, as well as give you an airbrushed look to your foundation. I really do like foundation primers because they can really give you a flawless and radiant complexion. Honestly, when painting the walls in your home, wouldn't you use a primer first? Why not use one before you "paint" your face?

Lancome La Base Pro                                      Lancome Eclat Miracle
Lancome Ageless Minerale Correcteur             Rimmel Foundation Primer
Smashbox Photo Finish Found. Primer             Makeup Forever Microperfecting Primer
Laura Mercier Foundation Primer                     Benefit Cosmetics the POREfessional
Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer                          Too Faced Primed & Poreless Skin Smoothing Face Primer

Let Me Introduce Myself

Hello Beautiful! My name is Candi and I am a self-proclaimed makeup addict, junkie, and abuser lol! I have been in love with makeup for years. Almost 6 years ago I realized I had a gift for actually "painting" women's faces. Ever since then, I have been practicing and perfecting my craft. I wanted to create a blog where women could ask different questions about different things in the cosmetic world and even share thoughts about other things that women talk about often. This isn't just about the outside appearance, it's also about being secure with yourself on the inside and really bringing out the woman you want to be!

Working with different makeup and skincare lines, I definitely understand the ins and outs of different products and how there are different "strokes" for different folks! Anything you want to know about makeup/skincare or even product reviews...feel free to ask away!

So come on my fellow divas, fashionistas, makeup gurus, and spirtitually inclined ladies and lets get this party started lol!
